Nationwide Care in Austria

In October 2002, we started our activities in Austria by applying the so-called estimate of prospects at the care centre of Traiskirchen. On behalf of the Federal Home Office (BM.I), residents were informed about their future prospects in Austria resp. their home country.

Since July 2003, we have been undertaking the care for asylum seekers on behalf of the BM.I by operating the four care centres of the country – Traiskirchen, Thalham, Reichenau, and Bad Kreuzen, employing ca. 1,500 residents.

The care centres Traiskirchen and Thalham are the central registration facilities of the country for newly arrived refugees, which means that our cooperation with the employees of the BM.I is particularly close. The care centres in Reichenau and Bad Kreuzen are homes for those asylum seekers, who have been transferred from Traiskirchen and Thalham.

As all care centres differ with regard to their size and responsibilities, we would like to introduce Traiskirchen and Thalham as examples.
