Hostel Werdau - Flats

Apart from the concept of shared accommodation, some Federal German states have a tendency to house asylum seekers and foreign refugees in flats. This concept shall contribute to the speedy integration of the asylum seekers into the community.

We also have long-term experience in the administration and technical maintenance of flats for asylum seekers and foreign refugees, as well as the support of their occupants. For example, in the vicinity of the hostel Werdau we have rented, renovated, and completely furnished flats, which are exclusively reserved for families.

As these flats are in “normal“ German blocks of flats, addi-tional requirements to the care of these families have to be met. We help them for example, to integrate into the house community. This includes in particular information about the general conduct with each other and in particular about the house rules, as well as hints concerning their own conduct and the personal impression, which they leave with private persons and official authorities.

This is necessary, because these families, in particular the parents, compared to the other occupants in the hostels are living in a far more isolated environment, therefore having less opportunity to exchange experiences with similar persons.
