  1. Will I have to provide personal details to the Voluntary Return Hotline Counsellor when I call?
    No. You can remain totally anonymous throughout the call.
  2. Will any personal information given to Voluntary Return Hotline Counsellors be shared with the Gardai or Government authorities?
    No. Any personal information discussed will remain completely confidential.
  3. Do the Voluntary Return Hotline Counsellors make a decision on my application for Voluntary Return?
    No. Our Hotline Counsellors will advise you on the circumstances where a person MAY qualify for Voluntary Return. Any decisions on eligibility for Voluntary Return will be made at a later stage.
  4. Are European Homecare the Government?
    No. European Homecare is an independent organisation.
  5. Will the counsellors on the Hotline process my application for Voluntary Return?
    No. The counsellors on the Hotline give information about the voluntary return process only.
  6. Is this phone call really free?
    Yes this call is completely free to anyone calling from a landline or mobile from anywhere in the Republic of Ireland. You may take any time you wish or call as often as you like.
  7. Who is European Homecare?
    EHC is a private, independent company.We provide you with information about Assisted Voluntary Return.
  8. I do not speak English? How can I use your service?
    You may ask a friend/social worker/advisor with English language skills to call us. We will arrange for an interpreter when you call us.
  9. Where is your office?
    Hatch Hall, 28a Hatch Street, Dublin 2. Please note: We do not offer “drop-in service”. If you require face-to-face counselling, please call 1800 202 303 for assistance.
