Germany
For more than 20 years European Homecare has offered facility management and social services to refugees and other fringe groups.
Our unique services are offered in accommodation centres for longterm stay as well as in initial reception centres where refugees remain only for a few weeks.
Our headquarter and national offices are located in Essen, North Rhine-Westphalia. The city and its inhabitants have witnessed a transformation from the former „steel & coal capital“ of Germany to a modern and vibrant service oriented society. In Germany we are considered a small sized company with approx. 100 employees (in total approx. 200 including Austria and Ireland) and are proud of our small “overhead“ - our decentralised approach has helped to keep our services lean, flexible and cost-effective - to the advantage of the tax payers‘ money.
Besides the fact that European Homecare has become one of the most successful privately owned and managed companies in social services, we extended our services from migrants/refugees to the fringe group of homeless. Since 2007 we have managed an accommodation centre for homeless in the city of Dortmund.
Many of our special projects are funded by national funds and/or EU grants. We are committed to these projects on a not-for-profit basis to ensure our customers that we are seriously interested in delivering the services needed on site. In many cases European Homecare has financially contributed to those non-profit projects - a commitment based on our corporate values.
European Homecare has adopted Quality Assurance in Management and Hygiene & Food Preparation Standards of international level: DIN ISO as well as HACCP certification.
